Quiet, peaceful with a state park camping area with full hook-ups on a small pennisula. Beautiful lake for kayaking or fishing. No boats with motors larger than 10 hp.OK
Beautiful little National Forest (with state park along fringe) along the Mississippi River in Arkansas. The Oldest Boy and I were down this way for Leave No Trace course on church land. I didn't pop in to either the federal or state visitor centers, but I will on another chance. Lovely land with some neat lowlands and flora. Great views of the Mighty Mississip'. Peaceful sleepin', to be sure. Popped out on the bottom at Helena. Check it out!
Well kept grounds but never once have caught any fish the last 7 times I've been there
